SME Confidence Plummets But Harvey Wayne Communications Announces Record Sales

Outsourced sales and marketing firm, Harvey Wayne Communications have announced a 35% increase in sales for the 3rd Quarter of 2012, despite SME's (small and medium enterprise) confidence plummeting.

LONDON, ENGLAND, October 05, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Based in three major UK locations, Harvey Wayne Communications develop sales and marketing campaigns for a leading British cosmetics firm, and promote and sell subscriptions for a film and entertainment business.

The third quarter sales saw a thirty five per cent sales increase compared to the previous quarter. A spokesperson for Harvey Wayne Communications has stated that, "we feel very fortunate to be able to report such great progress especially during a time when many other small businesses are struggling. The recent FSB report is disheartening and we can only wish other business owners the best of luck at this difficult time."

Challenging domestic conditions, access to finance and weak consumer demand have been taking their toll on the optimism of small companies, according to a study from the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB).

The FSB report feature SMEs statistics for the UK and the regions. The publication obtains data from 2.2 million enterprises that are on the government business register, the IDBR. This is the best official source for understanding the estimated size, employment and turnover of the entire UK business population at a particular point in time. The statistics cover the start of the calendar year and covers the market sector especially.

The report revealed that SME confidence levels have tumbled 5.8 points to -4.5 points in the third quarter; however the figure is still twenty points higher in October 2011, when the economy had fallen back into recession.

2,600 respondents have been reported as wanting to grow in the coming twelve months, however their growth intentions continue to be threatened. A number of businesses are being refused finance with more than sixty per cent feel that finance is unattainable.

However, it does look promising for small businesses as they have been given a vote of confidence from the general public. Three fifths of UK adults trust small businesses rather than large firms to help to kick start the economy. The 3rd quarter growth reported by Harvey Wayne Communications supports this claim.

73% believe that the economy would get a bigger boost by making money available to small businesses, rather than financing large companies. 72% would rather work for an SME, as there is a greater chance of job satisfaction; the chance to participate in a bigger and more prestigious role and an opportunity to balance work and life.

Harvey Wayne Communications has indeed not lost confidence in them to be able to attain these recent successes.
