/24-7PressRelease/ - HOLYWELL, NORTH WALES, July 29, 2007 - A pub landlord has taken pity on his nicotine addicted customers and given a whole new meaning to the traditional smoking jacket!

For smokers at The Glan Yr Afon Inn, Holywell, Flintshire, who want a quick cigarette no longer have to shiver in the bushes thanks to a revolutionary heated waistcoat.

Licensee Guy Wallis has a wardrobe full of the Exo2 heated jackets which he lends out to customers forced to heed the newly imposed national smoking ban.

The jackets are made from an innovative polymer which is both safe and energy efficient. They act as personal heating systems, providing a constant heat supply that warms up the whole body.

Guy said: "With the great British summer so far I just took pity on my customers when I saw them huddled outside in the cold trying to enjoy a cigarette. I thought the waistcoats were a fantastic compromise, the customers can now enjoy the benefits of smoking outside in the beautiful gardens and surrounding countryside at The Glan and never feel the cold!"

But the jackets aren't just for smokers, Guy is happy to lend them out to customers who just want to enjoy the pub garden on a chilly evening.

Notes to editors:

1 The Glan Yr Afon Inn is set in the heart of North Wales and offers traditional pub food and accommodation

3 As well as providing comfort for outdoor smokers the waistcoats have many benefits for back pain and poor circulation sufferers, and are ideal for anyone doing 'inactive' activities such as fishing
