/24-7PressRelease/ - SAN FRANCISCO, CA, April 28, 2007 - Heavy metal icon Black Sabbath makes a foray into the fashion industry at Solis on May 1st. With roots dating back to the 60's, Black Sabbath has been credited for innovating the heavy metal music genre. The bands dark and ominous songwriting was in direct contrast with the then prevalent 'happy' pop music. A further development with Black Sabbath's sound came about with the loss of the band's guitarist Tommy Iommi's fingertips, forcing him to downtune his instrument in order for him to play with less pain. Bassist Geezer Butler tuned his bass accordingly, creating a heavier and deeper music, according better with Black Sabbath's dark song lyrics.

After numerous successful albums and tours, several reunions and much band member turnover, Black Sabbath has lasted for over four decades, Black Sabbath was inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2005 and into the US Rock and Roll Hall of fame in 2006. 2007 is to expect the official announcement of new Black Sabbath album, featuring the four original members: Ozzy Osborne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward.
