Sonia Sarreals Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

With 45 years of industry experience to her credit, Ms. Sarreals most recently worked as a technology consultant with TEKsystems, Inc., from 1996 until her retirement in 2008. Prior to this appointment, she held the positions of lead technical analyst with Automated Concepts, Inc., from 1992 to 1996, senior analyst at AT&T from 1989 to 1992, staff data processing consultant with Cincinnati Bell Information Systems from 1978 to 1989, senior programmer at McGraw-Hill Education from 1973 to 1978, and project leader at Touche Ross, now known as Deloitte, from 1970 to 1973. Ms. Sarreals began her career as a systems engineer for IBM from 1963 to 1969, and as a consultant for Babbage Systems, Inc., from 1969 to 1970.

Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Sarreals pursued an education at the City College of New York, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in languages, summa cum laude, in 1960. Following this accomplishment, she earned a certification in French from Sorbonne University in Paris, France in 1961.

Beyond her efforts within the field, Ms. Sarreals has contributed to numerous endeavors outside of her professional circles. From 1992 to 1996, she served as an elder for the Lutheran Church of St. Andrew in Silver Spring, MD. Additionally, Ms. Sarreals has been recognized as a member of The Phi Beta Kappa Society.

In light of her exceptional undertakings, Ms. Sarreals has accrued several accolades and honors throughout her impressive career. She completed a Dyckman Institute fellowship at Columbia University from 1960 to 1961, during which time she was also recognized as a Downer Scholar by the City University of New York. Furthermore, Ms. Sarreals was selected for inclusion in multiple editions of Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Who's Who in the East, Who's Who in the Media and Communication, Who's Who in the South and Southwest, Who's Who in the World and Who's Who of American Women.
