/24-7PressRelease/ -- Soul Sanctuary opened on April 3, 2010, it is just a small 450+ square foot space but with a lot of soul and spirit. This little holistic/metaphysical shop resides up on the 2nd floor above the Looking Glass Salon on Maine Street in Brunswick, at 101 Maine Street to be exact. The Grand Opening and Mini Fair will be from 11:00am to 4:00 pm, presentations will be given, as well as practitioners offering great specials that day.
Co -founders Marie Tucker and Michelle Kristiansen say Soul Sanctuary is a place to go and nurture your body, mind and spirit. They offer more than just a few products like candles, books, crystals, rain sticks and other fun things. They offer many holistic healing and metaphysical services too. "That's the base of our shop, the wonderful healing services that help you create balance" says Marie Tucker. The types of services offered by practitioners from across Midcoast Maine include: Reiki, Law of Attraction, Facials and waxing, Medium readings, Reflexology, Astrology, Shamanic healing including Soul Retrieval, Power Animal Retrieval and Emotional Release, Aura-Soma Color readings, Energy work including readings, clearing and alignments, Tarot card and Intuitive readings, Angel Channeling, DNA Activation, Cord Cutting, CranioSacral Therapy and more.
The practitioners are there on different days, sometimes two at a time, to give a good variety throughout the week. The newest service the shop has implemented is an express menu. The Soul Sanctuary Express Menu was designed for people seeking a nurturing experience during their lunch break and includes shortened versions of the services above and more. All of these shortened services can take place in fifteen to thirty minutes and cost $50 or under, most of them in the $15-$30 range. What a great way to be introduced to the full sessions, or to give as gifts to friends and family.
Marie says "Mother's Day is coming up very soon and what a great way to say 'Mom I love you' then to offer the gift of soul and body nourishment, because her health and wellbeing matter."
The shop houses two treatment rooms, one that also is used as a sacred space for meditation, when not otherwise being used for treatment. They keep a variety of meditation and relaxing CDs on hand. In the open shop area are two comfy chairs by the window and water fountain. A perfect place to sit with a cup of tea and read an inspiring book (authors include Dr. Wayne Dyer, Marianne Williamson, Eckhart Tolle, Abraham-Hicks and more) or have a chat with Marie about the Law of Attraction. One of the first visions for this shop was to offer a sanctuary for downtown employees to visit during or after their workday to unwind and rejuvenate their spirit.
Marie, Michelle and Brittany (Marie's daughter who designs jewelry and helps out at the shop) hope that the space allows an experience for people to relax, slow down for a moment, expand their thoughts on spirituality and healing and really come to believe in themselves and their ability to live their best life.
