Her sixth album "Where I Belong," is a collection of country/pop songs reflecting on relationships, commitment, honesty, hope, and love. It's an extraordinary volume of works that uplift and inspire the listener to a higher sense of purpose and meaning. Grammy nominee Kent Wells brilliantly produced the albums enchanting single, "Where I Belong". "The album is an accurate statement and sound of who I am today," she says "as a little girl, I used to dream about living and performing in the United States. Being from Pretoria, South Africa, my signature sound was born out of a unique cultural upbringing and musical influences." It has been a road long traveled for Mirka. She signed with EMI while residing in South Africa, and released a bilingual Country album entitled "Eden", for which she was awarded Best Bilingual Country-Rock Album of the Year!
This year, Mirka is hard at work writing with some of Nashville's biggest names in songwriting such as, David Llewellyn, Bryan Cumming, Janey Clewer, Bruce Gaitsch, Gary Hannan, Freddy Litwiniuk, the writers from Savanna Music Group, Daisy Dern, Dave Gibson, Kevin Grant, Nolan Neil etc. You may know of Gary, from his hits "Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off" sung by Joe Nichols, and his #1 hit "Back When I Knew It All" sung by Montgomery Gentry. Dave Gibon is the lead singer of the Gibson Miller Band, who rose to the top of the charts with Billboard #1's such "Queen Of Memphis" & "Daddy Never was the Cadillac Kind." Mirka will also be Gary Hannan's Guest artist at Tin Pan South.
Behind the scenes, Mirka joins the greats for vocal coaching with Rene Grant, who has taught the likes of the Dixie Chicks, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Martina McBride, Carrie Underwood, Christina Aguilera, Linda Ronstadt, Ben Folds, Bob Weir of Grateful Dead, Keith Urban, Bo Bice, Kix Brooks. She is currently working on "The Road to Nashville" a cool new video featuring her journey that brought her to Nashville, to be released later this year. Her upcoming 2012 debut video is being produced by celebrity producer, Glenn Sweitzer from Fresh design, who has produced projects with the likes of: Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts, Kenny Rogers, Reba McEntire, Hank Jr., Jo Dee Messina, Lady Antebellum.

2012 Mirka is invited to perform at the glamorous and prestige's "Eye Ball" hosted by the Ming Wang Foundation in Nashville every year. Dr. Wang created a unique medical charity gala—the "EyeBall"-a black-tie event held each October in Nashville, with all proceeds supporting the foundation patients.
