-- Radio Talker Marc Berman host of the entertainment talk show of the same name received the Elephant Talk / Le Grand Fromage, Indie Press Man of the Year award in ceremonies held at Le Grand Fromage night club in Atlantic City.
The Elephant Talk / Le Grand Fromage annual Indie Music Awards honors independent artists, bands, solo artists, promoters and media who have made forward strides in the past year.
The award was presented to Marc Berman by Jerry Ryan, the event producer / promoter who presented it by saying "The Elephant Talk Indie Press, Man of the Year, no question about this one, Marc Berman."
During his acceptance, Marc re-confirmed his commitment to the promotion of indie artists, who defy all odds and continue to create and perform their music looking for that one big break. Marc calls it "The Best Music You've Never Heard."
About Elephant Talk / Le Grand Fromage Indie Music Awards: Elephant Talk promotes indie shows and events at Le Grand Fromage and Boneyard Night Clubs and hosts the Elephants for Autism fundraiser every year featuring 100 bands over three days. This year's event is May 16 through 18, 2014.
Le Grand Fromage is a unique Atlantic City nightclub featuring performances by indie artists on two floors year round. For many it's where they get a chance for much needed exposure and others a place to try out new material in front of in many cases an audience of their peers. It is also the home of the Elephant Talk Indie Music Awards and the Elephants for Autism 3 day event.

Marc began spotlighting up and coming artists in 2012. His first indie artist was Payton Taylor from South Jersey. The Marc Berman Show was her first interview and mass exposure. Payton has a great team producing and promoting her and has since moved to Nashville where she records, performs and now opens for major touring acts. Marc interviews a different indie band or artist each week and features their music in a 20 minute segment.
The MBS also features rock stars, pop stars, reality stars, comedy stars and pop culture icons.
Since 2012, Marc has been the MC for Hard Rock Rising South Jersey, the Global Battle of the Bands. The South Jersey battle is held at the Hard Rock Cafe in Trump Taj Mahal Atlantic City. The winner of the local battles move on until there is one winner. In 2013, out of 12,000 bands and artists, the Creeptones (who won the Atlantic City battle) placed 9th globally.
