BROMLEY, ENGLAND, March 18, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- South London Healthcare NHS Trust this week transformed its entrance to the Children's Ward at the Princess Royal University site, with a colourful window display in the corridor, generously funded by the Rotary Club of Bromley. The GBP15,000 donation transformed the corridor into a beautiful aquarium, designed to make the hospital less frightening for children.

Play specialist Sian Spencer-Little says: "It is important to create a friendly environment for our younger patients. The installation provides a welcome distraction for patients entering the ward. In particular the ceiling display is helpful in distracting children who are being taken to theatre whilst lying down, looking up at the ceiling. It is proving popular with all age groups and we are grateful to the Rotary club for enabling this work to take place."

Rotary Club President, Tony Galley says; "We wanted to provide a happy journey in the hall way to the theatre for the children."

The display was produced by Bromley-based graphics specialist, Creative FX. Director, Sean Davis, says; "We are delighted to have been involved in such a terrific project. It's great to see the display has made such a big difference for the children."
