    /24-7PressRelease/ - SANTA FE, NM, July 18, 2007 - "Musicians for Education", famous and local, return to the breathtaking KTAOS Solar Center July 28th, 2007 benefiting The Taos Public Education Fund. Performances include heartfelt flute melodies, ancient Sephardic songs, flamenco duets on the acoustic guitar and cello, rock and roll, and :"funk": the best in town. Over 20 vendors will merchandise concert memorabilia, unique art, food and beverages.

Confirmed artists include Mary Youngblood: flautist, 2007 Grammy and Nammy Award Winner for "The Best Native American Music", Consuelo Luz: Chilean-Cuban singer of ancient Sephardic songs, Spanish love ballads and Ladino prayers, Patrick Shendo Mirabal: noted Native American flautist, Jonathan Fritz: acoustic guitarist, toured with Lionel Ritchie, played with Jimmie Buffet, Michael Kott: transgalactic cellist, played with The Doors. Jonathan and Michael will play flamenco pieces from Jonathan's latest cd: "Gitan a la Plage" (Gypsies at the Beach), Star Nayea: "The Little Lady with a Big Voice", and the D Numbers Band: masters of the epic and funky.

This event supports The Taos Public Education Fund, a program dedicated to enhancing and improving the opportunities of every student and educator in the Taos Public Schools. Their ultimate goal is to teach both parents and students the value of education with the hope that they will desire to become lifelong learners. TPEF partners with the Taos Municipal Schools, the Taos
Community Foundation and dedicated members to provide every student with a high-quality education in a system devoted to equity, diversity and social justice.

Join us July 28th, 2007, from 4 to 10 pm at the KTAOS Solar Center, Highway 150, Taos, New Mexico. Tickets are $18 in advance, and $22 at the door (12 and under are free).
