The Southwest Winners Foundation (SWWF) invites local golfers to take a "one in a million" swing for students at its first annual "Fore" the School Golf Classic.
Proceeds from the tournament, to be held on Friday, October 2, will help SWWF further its mission of providing education and training to at-risk youth in Bexar County by providing scholarships, facilities, and amenities through the four campuses of the Southwest Preparatory School District.
Each participating golfer will receive:
• An invitation to attend the tournament's Awards Dinner
• Discounts for future rounds at Canyon Springs Golf Club
• A certificate for a complimentary golf club
• And much more
The tournament will also feature a Hole-in-One Shootout, offering golfers the chance to win one million dollars.
"With fall on its way, it's a great time to take advantage of the autumn weather and hit the golf course," says Jim Neal, President and Co-Founder of SWWF. "With this tournament, golfers will be supporting local students, they'll have fun doing it, and they'll even have a shot at winning a million dollars!"
The first annual "Fore" the School Golf Classic will be held on Friday, October 2, at Canyon Springs Golf Club (24405 Wilderness Oak, San Antonio, TX 78245); tee time is 1 pm.

BACKGROUND:
Southwest Winners Foundation, Inc. (SWWF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation established in 1998 for the purpose of providing education and training to at-risk youth in Bexar County. That same year, SWWF started an open enrollment charter school - Southwest Preparatory School - for high-school age youth.
