SPORTIME/John McEnroe Tennis Academy directors and coaches will search for future JMTA Students and Champions at scholarship tryouts at SPORTIME Syosset, the Long Island home of JMTA, June 27, 2015. A full scholarship for the 2015-16 JMTA season.



    SYOSSET, NY, May 16, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Young hopefuls from across Long Island will be out in force at SPORTIME Syosset, the Long Island home of JMTA, on Saturday, June 27, to try out for a full scholarship to attend JMTA at SPORTIME Syosset for the 2015-16 season. The day begins with registration at 9 a.m., with a variety of tryout evaluation sessions concluding at approximately 1 p.m.

The tryout, open to players ages 6-16, will be led by an Assessment Committee made up of SPORTIME/JMTA Directors and Coaches. The Committee will evaluate players as they participate in tennis drills, athletic assessments, and play matches. The scholarship winner will be notified by July 6.

SPORTIME Syosset /JMTA is located at 75 Haskett Drive in Syosset. Updates will also be posted online at http://www.SportimeNY.com/Syosset-Tennis. The registration deadline is June 15 at 5 p.m. ET.

There is no fee to try out, but entrants must pre-register. Proper tennis attire is required. Players will have access to locker room and shower facilities. SPORTIME Syosset features a full-service, on-site pro shop, as well as stringing services. Water and Titan Tea , the official tea of the JMTA, will be available on court and vending on-site.

We are excited to meet another crop of hopefuls and award a full scholarship this summer for next season."
