/24-7PressRelease/ - LOS ANGELES, CA, September 18, 2006 - A simple method is available to allow individuals to test their environments for contamination with methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).
These bacteria pose an increasing threat to otherwise healthy individuals, especially those participating in contact sports or simply sharing common facilities such as childcare centers, schools, hotel rooms and even the workplace. Preexisting skin conditions and any respiratory infections including the common cold or influenza will also render a person susceptible to MRSA. The bacteria are commonly acquired in hospitals and discharged patients continue to bring the infections into the community.
"It's imperative to begin a nationwide community-based MRSA eradication program," states W. John Martin, M.D., Ph.D., a member of the Institute of Progressive Medicine's "War on Staph" task force. "The key to eradication is testing for MRSA. The Staph Detection Plate for MRSA is available in sets of 5 plates for under $10.00 plus shipping and handling. The best use of the plates is for testing public facilities and to alert those responsible for safety of the need for an MRSA decontamination program. Patients should also test their hospitals until this practice becomes routine by hospital personnel.
"Public Health authorities are showing insufficient regard for MRSA" suggests Dr. Martin that is reminiscent of the delayed response in addressing early signs of HIV infections and in the continuing denial of stealth-adapted viruses causing chronic neurological and psychiatric illnesses. "Fortunately, it is a lot easier to test for bacteria than viruses and with simple instructions anyone can determine if MRSA bacteria are present. Effective and relatively inexpensive MRSA decontamination methods are available and newer methods to help prevent the spread of infection are under review by the Institute."
The Institute of Progressive Medicine is a non-profit public charity seeking to empower the public through its educational and self-care programs. "Medicine has become far too political and financially driven" comments Dr. Martin. "Allowing the current MRSA epidemic to develop is a prime example of medical mismanagement."
The Institute has earlier reported on simple and effective energy based therapies for herpes simplex virus (HSV) induced oral and genital ulcers and human papillomavirus (HPV) induced genital warts. It is also pursuing energy based products (enerceuticals) for the therapy of stealth-adapted virus infections.
