Using her creative talents combined with her knowledge of celebrities, Sandy has written an intriguing romance novel centered around a young woman (Cooper Jackson) who falls in love with a pop star (Ryan Latham). LOST IN YOU gave Sandy Lo a chance to pay homage to her teenage idols: Backstreet Boys and 98 Degrees, via fictional boy band: Sound Wave. In fact, Sandy thanks both bands in the book's acknowledgments.
"I have been luck y enough to meet all of the Backstreet Boys as well as members of 98 Degrees through my magazine," Sandy says. "It's them as people that truly inspired me to create these positive male characters in LOST IN YOU, and I don't portray them as perfect, which makes them believable to my readers, instead of these impossibly perfect celebrities that we see on TV all the time." Though Sound Wave is a large part of LOST IN YOU, the story is focused on the female character, Cooper, who finds herself thrown into a love triangle with two members of the band.
For seven years, Sandy Lo has been the president of the groundbreaking website StarShine Magazine, an entertainment outlet focusing on music. She has interviewed many celebrities from Jessica Simpson and Taylor Swift to Jonas Brothers and Simple Plan. Writing has always been Sandy 's passion, and becoming a published author was a dream of hers. She is ecstatic that her dreams first came true with StarShine at only 18-years-old, and now again at twenty-six with her novel LOST IN YOU.
