/24-7PressRelease/ -- Deborah Todd, president of STATE Contracting, Inc., has announced that the privately held firm, specializing in site development and roadway improvement, has completed a new parking lot as well as symmetrical widening, patching and overlays to the existing roads as part of the opening of Durham County Library's South Regional Branch, located off NC 54 at 4505 S. Alston Ave. on the historic site of the Old Lowe's Grove School. STATE's subcontracting work, awarded by Bar Construction of Greensboro (Durham County was owner of the project), was approximately $330,000.
The South Regional Branch is one of eight facilities that compose the Durham County Library system. The 27,300-square-foot facility includes a public meeting room that seats 100 and can be accessed after business hours, a children's program room that seats 30, and two tutoring rooms.
