Stefan Jacobs Named a Lifetime Achiever by Marquis Who's Who

For over 48 years in the field of mental health, Dr. Jacobs has been honored with numerous accolades, notably as the recipient of a 2004 Research Prize from the Northern German Addictiv Research Organization (Norddeutscher Suchtforschungsverbund NSF). He is the editor of "Neuroscience and the Treatment of PTSD", as well as the author of "EMDR and Biofeedback in the Treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder" and "Behavior Modification Hypnosis: A Short Time Program for the Treatment of Chronic Pain." Born in Magdeburg, Germany to Kurt and Eva Jacobs, Dr. Jacobs stayed on with his alma mater, the University of Cologne, as an assistant professor, and earned a PhD from the Universität Bonn in 1973. From 1972 to 1974, he served as a clinical psychologist with the Leibniz Universität in Hanover, Germany. From 1974 to 2008, he worked as an assistant professor at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen's Institute of Psychology with the department of clinical psychology, and officially adopted his current titles in the new millennium. In addition to his roles as a clinical mental health professional and instructor, he is also the former member of the praesidium of the Berufsverband Deutscher PsychologenBDP (Organisation of German Psychologists), a member of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Psychologie DGPs (Organisation of Professors and Scientists). Dr.Jacobs also holds membership with the German Society of Client-Centered Psychotherapie, where he was vice president from 1972 to 1974. He is also a member of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Verhaltenstherapie DGVT (German Society of Behavioral Therapy).

Dr. Jacobs was selected for inclusion in the pages of Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare and Who's Who in the World. He enjoys painting and playing the violin, and is the father of Raoul Stephan with his ex-wife, Brigitte Jacobs.
