Stella McCartney - Spring 2013

A celebration of optimism, innocence and lightness; the collection is a playful mix of textures, colors and prints.

LONDON, ENGLAND, June 17, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A celebration of optimism, innocence and lightness; the collection is a playful mix of textures, colors and prints.

A striking leopard print in bold shapes. An oversized print t-shirt in linen canvas is paired with a pleated cotton pique shirt and an aertex skirt. Leopard print is layered in a head-to-toe look; a canvas jacket, a fine gauge knit legging and crew neck sweater are worn with a pointed wedge shoe.

Vibrant fluorescent floral and geometric jacquards in hues of mango, citrus and white. A floral print Stella McCartney skirt is complimented by bleached out neon organic cotton knit.

Menswear inspired madras check suiting is light and unstructured. Tailoring is elongated; a sharp flared trouser paired with a single breasted notch lapel jacket.

Color blocked knife pleated pieces have inserts of transparency. A blue pique cotton shirt dress is sliced with an aertex border on the hem. A madras check dress is layered with an organic degrade knit woven with raw calico strips.

Fresh and crisp calico cottons are layered for a minimal white on white palette from optic to cream. A quilted fine gauge jacquard knit echoes the micro floral pattern of the tailoring. Spring outerwear is a crisp white cotton pea coat with a sharp oversized masculine trouser with a flash of holographic accessories.

For evening delicate silk cotton lace pieces are lined with fringes creating layers of transparency. Fringing is blunt cut and cropped for graphic effect. Calico, off white and cream fringe layers are encased underneath a minimal lace t-shirt.

Accessories mimic prints in the collection. Faux alligator is combined with leopard print canvas as well as madras check in totes, flat clutches and shoulder strap bags. The new Boo bag in slouchy shapes features a linked mesh chain detail in rose gold and antique silver brass in biodegradable faux suede, faux leather and embossed croc printed fabrics. The Falabella is updated in with fringes in a biodegradable suede. A pointed toe, low wedge shoe with a notched incision in solid pop colors; pumpkin, mandarin, mango and leopard print canvas complete the silhouette.
