- Yorktown, VA, July 31, 2008, Stephen Aaron Ferguson, Owner of U.S. Lawns of Hampton Roads, has been recognized by
Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of landscaping.
With more than 17 years of professional experience, Mr. Ferguson specializes in commercial landscaping. As owner, he is responsible for managing sales and administration, supervising employees and building client relationships. Prior to starting his own company, he attended training programs in horticulture. Mr. Ferguson considers being honored by a local franchise corporate office with the Superior Achievement Award to be his greatest professional accomplishment. The author of several articles on landscaping, he became involved in his profession because of his work experience in a plant nursery and attributes his success to his hard work and the support he receives from his family. He believes that a lack of qualified laborers is the most important issue facing his profession today.
Mr. Ferguson received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Christopher Newport University. He is affiliated with the Community Associations Institute, Building Owners and Managers Association International and the International Council of Shopping Centers. He also serves as president of a local non-profit organization for children. Mr. Ferguson stays current with the trends in his profession by attending training programs and conferences, enrolling in continuing education courses and reading industry-related publications.
