FORT WAYNE, IN, January 29, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Stephen J. Williams, JD, with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Williams celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Williams is a Fellow of the American College of Trust & Estate Counsel, and is a Certified Trust & Estate Specialist (Indiana Trust & Estate Specialty Certification Board). He has been listed in Best Lawyers of America in the fields of estate planning and taxation, beginning in 1987 and during each succeeding year, and has been designated an Indiana Super Lawyer. He is a member of the bar of the Indiana Supreme Court, U.S. Tax Court and U. S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. He received his preparatory and legal education at Indiana University (Bloomington) where he served as an editor of the Indiana Law Journal and was awarded the Order of the Coif.

Attorney and partner at Shambaugh, Kast, Beck & Williams since 1980, Mr. Williams works among a small group of experienced lawyers where he specializes in charities, estate planning, estate settlement, taxation, business organizations, and commercial transactions. Prior to joining the firm, he spent seven years as a practicing attorney with Pichon & Williams in Fort Wayne, IN, and as a trust counsel for one of northern Indiana's most prominent banks, Lincoln National Bank and Trust Company, from 1965 to 1972. Shambaugh, Kast, Beck & Williams specializes in divorce, personal injury, business, and trust and estate administration. Established in the 1920s, the firm is located in Fort Wayne, IN, and is comprised of several experienced and young attorneys that share the same ethical standards in the practice of law.

Mr. Williams earned a BS in Business Administration in 1963, and LLB in 1965 at Indiana University. He was subsequently admitted to practice by the Indiana Bar Association, the Northern and Southern Districts of the U.S. District Court of Indiana, the Seventh Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Tax Court. An elected fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, he is also a longtime member of the American Bar Association, the Indiana State Bar Association, the Allen County Bar Association, and the Fort Wayne Estate Planning Council.
