Dr. Pratt has an impressive 34 years of professional experience in the healthcare field where his diverse talents lie in ocular surgery and dietetics. In addition to his innovative exploits in holistic healthcare, Dr. Pratt is a world-renowned authority regarding the prevention of ocular disease, including cataracts, macular degeneration, and facial skin cancer. In his position at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla, he specializes in ophthalmology and performs ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery. Voted as on of San Diego's best doctors, he has served as a healthcare consultant for numerous pharmaceutical corporations and has appeared on numerous news programs to discuss the importance of ocular health, laser vision correction procedures, and facial cosmetic procedures. Dr. Pratt completed his fellowship at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in 1981, his residency in ophthalmology and his internship in internal medicine at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego in 1980 and 1976 respectively. He earned his MD from Jefferson Medical College in 1975 and his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Southern California. He received various certifications through the American Board of Ophthalmology, the American Board of Holistic Medicine and the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. A certified VISX refraction surgeon, he is a member of the San Diego County Medical Society, the California Medical Association, the American College of Surgeons, the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine, the American Medical Association, the American Board of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the Refractive Surgery Interest Group and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
