/24-7PressRelease/ -- Stonebridge Companies, a leader in hotel development and property management, has chosen the leadership team for the soon-to-open new hotels in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Both the Courtyard and the Residence Inn by Marriott are new buildings constructed in west Glenwood Springs near the Glenwood Meadows Mall and the Glenwood Springs Community Center. The Residence Inn by Marriott will open in the middle of February and the Courtyard by Marriott will open in mid-March. Myrna Green is General Manager for the Residence Inn by Marriott and Ashley Thomas is Dual Director of Sales for Residence Inn and Courtyard by Marriott.

The General Manager for the new Courtyard by Marriott hotel has not yet been announced.
Myrna Green's career in hospitality started in Alaska several years ago as a temporary job, but she claims to have been bitten quickly by the hospitality bug. Her career path has included Choice Hotels, Starwood and Marriott International and her duties have ranged from supervisor, to Operations Manager, then to Director of Rooms on her way to the General Manager's position. In her position at the new Residence Inn, she will be responsible for consistently delivering results that contribute to the mission and overall success of the hotel by accomplishing performance objectives focused on business revenues, guest and associate satisfaction and effectiveness and efficiencies. Ashley Thomas is originally from Colorado. She began her hospitality career at Homestead Studio Suites where she worked her way up from a Guest Service Representative to General Manager. For Marriott, Ashley has worked in both Operations and Sales. For the new hotels in Glenwood Springs she will be developing and maintaining relationships with key clients in order to produce group and/or convention business, negotiating guest room rates, meeting room rental, function space, and hotel services. Her position is also instrumental in developing yearly sales and marketing plans and initiating quarterly action plans. The lively mountain-and-river town of Glenwood Springs is located just off Interstate 70, 160 miles west of Denver and 44 miles northwest of Aspen. The Residence Inn by Marriott will open first, in February, and is a four story, 88,000 square foot all-suite hotel with 124 units located on the corner of Wulfsohn Road and East Meadows Drive, adjacent to the Glenwood Meadows Shopping Center which is anchored by Target and Lowes Home Improvement Center and also features a variety of local restaurants and boutiques along the Market Street promenade. The Courtyard by Marriott will open in mid-March and has 101 rooms in a three-story, 56,000 square foot structure. The lobby features the contemporary "S-Bar" and a convenient grab-and-go food outlet.
