RICHMOND, VA, October 27, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Starting today, Monday October 24th, and running until Sunday October 30th, Stronghill Dining Company joins nearly 30 Richmond area restaurants in celebrating Richmond Restaurant Week: a week long event where area chefs design a three-course menu and serve it up for just $25.11 per person. Using the event to introduce its brand-spanking new Southern-inspired menu, Stronghill Dining Company hopes all ya'll will come out to try their new and distinctively Southern dishes, like the alligator gumbo with chicken and andouille sausage, Rapphannock River fried oysters, grilled sirlion topped with pimento cheese and onion straws, or the classic apple pie with sweet potato ice cream.

"We're excited to celebrate Restaurant Week in conjunction with the debut of our new menu," says Stronghill Dining Company General Manager Rick Lyons. "As we try to shift towards a contemporary-Southern cuisine, we're using Restaurant Week as a way to introduce customers to our new options."

In addition to enjoying a fine dining experience for only $25.11 per person, Stronghill Dining Company guests will also help make a difference in the battle against hunger in Central Virginia; for every ticket during Restaurant Week, $2.11 will be donated to FeedMore, the umbrella organization of the Central Virginia Food Bank, Meals on Wheels and the Community Kitchen.

Richmond's October 24-30th Restaurant Week marks the event's 10th Anniversary, which was initially founded by Richmond-native Aline Reitzern. The wildly successful event raised over $25,000 for FeedMore in April 2011, and this fall Richmond Restaurant Week is aiming to top that number with help from restaurants like Stronghill Dining Company.
