QUINCY, MA, May 05, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- StudentLoanNetwork.com, one of the country's top student aid information websites, is now the Internet's premier source of educational content on recent financial aid reform. Just weeks after President Barack Obama signed the Student Aid and Fiscal Responsibility Act (SAFRA) into law, effectively changing the way the federal student loan industry is structured and loans are disbursed, the Student Loan Network has updated and enhanced the content of its website to cover the new regulations.

Already, a new section has been launched on the Student Loan Network website, answering questions about the bill, such as where borrowers and their families will turn for their financial aid, and how they can take advantage of the bill's new repayment options. The network is also offering a daily updated blog, providing up-to-the-minute insight and analysis about the new regulations, as well as the popular Financial Aid forums, in which borrowers and their families can ask a team of dedicated Student Advocates specific questions about the bill and how it relates to them.

"Our goal is to facilitate the process by providing students and their parents with as much relevant information about the reform bill as possible in a single venue," said Jonathan Rudy, director of the Student Loan Network. "From the day this bill was signed, we went to work updating our content in anticipation of what the changes will mean for our audience."

The SAFRA bill, signed into law on March 31, eliminates the FFEL program, established a direct lending agreement between borrowers and the federal government, and enhances both the income-based repayment option and Pell Grant funding.

The Student Loan Network has long been recognized as an industry leader at offering helpful financial aid tools to borrowers, including an income-based repayment diagram and a line-by-line guide to filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Stay tuned to the Student Loan Network website for daily updates and information right up through the day the bill goes into effect on July 1, 2010.
