'Waiting in the Wings' just released.

According to award winning author CDR Mark Bowlin, USN (Ret.), "Vaughan masterfully tells a story filled with unexpected twists of fate which shadow the longfelt consequences of past mistakes."

DALLAS, TX, July 09, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Award winning author Jeanette Vaughan releases her third novel, WAITING IN THE WINGS. The finale to a compelling baby boomer historical trilogy regarding adoption is poised to strike gold in the Indie Press world. Vaughan's books have been honored for the gut wrenching drama which highlight the accomplishments of women who are not afraid to challenge the norm.

In Vaughan's latest installment WAITING IN THE WINGS, the naval aviator's ideals of honor, courage, commitment are put to the test as a young woman confronts her heritage. As an adopted child, Jana Sears grew up believing those values. Now having her own children she wonders where she actually came from? What was her true heritage? Was she truly part of the Deep South and her mother's roots? Was she even born in Texas? Did her birth mother live there? Those questions haunted her for thirty years. Terrified to open Pandora's box, but determined to find closure, Jana bravely delves into her past. She is stunned to find out that both her birth parents were pilots. But what kind of courage and honor was there in giving a new born baby away? Certainly not commitment. Sometimes, the choices we make in our lives have devastating consequences. WAITING IN THE WINGS soars through a journey of love and loss, hope and fear, joy and pain as Jana navigates the secrets of her past to make peace with the turbulent present. In the end, were the answers simply Waiting in the Wings?

Vaughan grew up as an adopted child herself in Fort Worth, TX. She has a Master's degree in nursing and has been published throughout numerous healthcare journals.
