Sukree Boodram Honored by Cambridge Who's Who

    ORLANDO, FL, November 17, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sukree Boodram, Senior Finance and Accounting Manager of Starwood Vacation Ownership, Inc. a division of Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in financial management.

Born in Guyana, South America, and migrating to the United States when she was 16 years old, Ms. Boodram has 21 years of professional experience. Since 2003, she has been the senior finance and accounting manager of Starwood. Her position entails that she is responsible for overseeing nightly audits, administering the company's finances and accounting matters, and ensuring compliance to GAAP and SOX as it pertaining to her area of supervision. Ms. Boodram's accounting and finance career inspired her to pursue a certification in public accounting. She attributes her success to her self-motivation and prior experience as an accounts payable manager.

A graduate of Webster University, Ms. Boodram received a Master of Business Administration in 2002. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in accounting and finance, which she earned from the University of Central Florida. Ms. Boodram became a certified public accountant in the state of Florida in 2003. She is a member of Toastmasters International and in 2007 was awarded Best In Class Manager. She was also named Manager of the Quarter and Manager of the Year by Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide. In her free time, Ms. Boodram volunteers her services to Adopt-A-Family and other charitable organizations. She intends to maintain a professional career in accounting and finance, become a public speaker in her community on stopping domestic abuse and publish her book, "Breakout," which she plans to use to share her personal story to help others.
