ABOUT JAY ALFORD
New York Giants' defensive tackle, Jay Alford, is best known for his emphatic sack of Tom Brady during the waning moments of the Giants' historic 2008 Super Bowl XLII victory over the New England Patriots. Drafted by the Giants in 2007, Alford was formerly a four-year starter at Penn State University where he was apart of a defense that consistently ranked among the nation's best. Alford was twice named an All Big 10 defensive tackle and produced a fantastic senior season during which he recorded 32 tackles and eight sacks.
ABOUT MARIO MANNINGHAM
New York Giants' wide receiver and third-round 2008 NFL Draft pick, Mario Manningham, was one of the NCAA's most explosive playmakers at the University of Michigan. In 2007, Manningham's junior year, he strung together six consecutive 100-yard games, all of which came against conference opponents. For his efforts, Manningham was named to the Associated Press All-American second team while being a finalist for both the Biletnikoff Award (given to the nation's top receiver) and the Walter Camp Player of the Year Award. After such a dominant campaign, Manningham decided to forego his senior season and enter the 2008 NFL Draft where he was drafted by the Giants.
