Richard Ingham, from the chartered surveyors Thomas Davidson, won the raffle prize which was sponsored by Avanta at a celebrity Poker evening hosted by Vinnie Jones and television presenter, Natalie Pinkham. The event was organised to raise funds for the children's charity SPARKS, which aims to give every child a healthy start in life.
Attending a training session at Manchester United Football Club's training ground on the eve of England's recent match at Old Trafford against Spain, Richard enjoyed a once-in-lifetime opportunity to rub shoulders with the country's best footballers.
Richard said: "It was an unforgettable experience to see the heroes of English football close up, having watched them so many times on television before. It's a great story to tell my friends and family, but I only wish I could have brought the team more luck in their game the following day."
