Ms. Handrigan has 15 years of experience in the financial sector, with three years as Director and District Manager at Roynat Capital in Montreal. Her areas of expertise include mergers and acquisitions, private equity and business development. She has developed knowledge of many industries including manufacturing, plastics, agriculture, business service and distribution. On a day-to-day basis, Ms. Handrigan oversees nine managers working to develop financing solutions for middle-market companies through the metropolitan Montreal area.
Prior to moving into her current position, she held various roles at Roynat Capital including: two years as Associate Director, and 4 years as Manager, Merchant Banking (both in Toronto and Montreal). She also held positions including Account Manager for the Business Development of Canada, Relationship Account Manager at the Royal Bank of Canada and marketing Manager for TAIS in Costa Rica, for which she carried out market research study in organic agriculture.
A highly motivated professional, Ms. Handrigan has garnered accolades such as a Top Gun Award in 2004 from Roynat Capital. She attributes her success to her work ethic and the exceptional contributions of her team. Ms. Handrigan became involved in her profession through her work as a manager trainee with the Royal Bank of Canada. Rotating every few months, she gained experience in commercial banking, retail banking, international banking and wealth management.
Ms. Handrigan received a bachelor's degree in applied economics from Queens University in 1998. She is a member of organizations such as the Quebec Private Equity Community, the Canadian Venture Capital Association, Reseau Capital, and the Montreal Chamber of Commerce. Active in the community, Ms. Handrigan volunteers with the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada and Cedars Cancer Institute. In the years to come, she hopes to spend more time transitioning into a strategic position on a high-profile Board of Directors.
