/Cambridge Who's Who/ - Elizabethtown, KY, September 4, 2008, Susan T. Berry, Instructional Specialist for Elizabethtown Community and Technical College, has been recognized by
Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of education.
With more than 10 years of professional experience, Ms. Berry specializes in post-secondary counseling and assessing learning styles, and is responsible for teaching and conducting educational research. She has a background in women's studies and previously worked as a market training manager and software training manager at CompUSA. She has presented lectures at women's history events and published a student essay through the Write Women Back Into History essay contest. Ms. Berry considers creating and implementing learning style assessment to her work to be the highlight of her career. Recognized by Who's Who in American Women and Who's Who Among American Teachers, she is a recipient of the Excellence Award and the New Horizons Award for Excellence and attributes her success to her determination and desire to improve student success.
A product of Vermont College of Norwich University, Ms. Berry earned her Master's Degree in Women's Studies in 1990 and her Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts in 1988. She also received an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts from Broward Community College and an Educational Specialist Degree in Post-Secondary Counseling from Western Kentucky University in 2005. Currently pursuing her Ph.D. at the University of Kentucky, she is affiliated with the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi and the Phi Theta Kappa Society. Ms. Berry feels that students being unprepared to attend college is the most important issue facing her profession today. She stays current with the trends in her profession by researching and reading industry-related publications.
