Suzanne H. Vogel to be Profiled in Exclusive Registry

    CAMBRIDGE, MA, December 31, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Suzanne H. Vogel, Retired Clinical Social Work Supervisor at Harvard University, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in social work.

Ms. Vogel has 54 years of overall professional experience, 27 of them as a therapist and supervisor at Harvard University Health Services. As a clinical social work supervisor, she is responsible for conducting seminars for social workers and mental health service staff. She is currently writing a book titled, "Japanese Professional Housewife: Fifty Years of Change."

In 1954, Ms. Vogel earned a master of social work from Simmons College. She earned a master's degree in sociology in 1952 from Northwestern University, and a bachelor's degree, with honors, in 1951 from The University of Texas at Austin. She is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society, the National Association of Social Workers, the Academy of Certified Social Workers and Social Workers for Peace and Justice. Ms. Vogel received two awards for excellence from the Simmons College School of Social Worker Alumni Association and from Who's Who in American Women.

Ms. Vogel received a Fulbright Scholarship in 1988 to 1989 for Japan, where she consulted with the social work and psychiatry departments of St. Luke's International Hospital and continued her previous research on Japanese family life. Subsequently, she spent 20 years of summers teaching social workers at the Hasegawa Hospital.
