OTTAWA, ON, June 24, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Senior Communication Advisor Suzanne Stoltz has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in children's literature.

Initially, Suzanne Stoltz became involved in her profession through the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) as both an editor and writer because she wanted to support the men and women who protect the community. After garnering about 12 years as a National Communication Strategist with them and eight years prior with experience in both government and not-for-profit communications risk management and media relations, she decided to become a freelance senior communications advisor. For the past three years, Ms. Stoltz has held this position, and intends to continue providing both paid and pro-bono public relations services. She is currently writing freelance PRs for crowd funding campaigns and writing internal communications content regarding science and technology research at the Department of National Defence (DND).

Throughout her work-week, Ms. Stoltz develops media lines, as well as strategic communications products, including media and public awareness campaigns and special event planning. She advises senior management on how to optimize web content and last year her efforts received a communications of excellence award from the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB). In five years, Ms. Stoltz would like to continue to build her clientele and put her passion for clever and creative communications to good use in the non-profit sector. She has been a volunteer PR Advisor to the Board of Kenyan/Canadian charity www.elimu.ca since 2011 and leads all fundraising activities in Ottawa, Canada.

Ms. Stoltz attributes her continued professional success to her hard work, spunk, and adaptability to change. She graduated in 1992 from Carleton University with a Bachelor's degree in both Journalism and Political Science. Along the way she has become fluently bilingual in French. Since graduation, she continues to keep abreast of changes in her professional endeavors through her membership with IABC. Ms. Stoltz is also the proud published author of a children's book entitled "Five Loons." She is about to launch a new children's book in Sept; watch for "Sophie the Pumpkin Patch Fairy."
