Synovetics Launches Middle East Cardiology Forum 2008

    /24-7PressRelease/ - ABU DHABI, UAE, May 29, 2008 - For the first time in the region a joint cardiology / cardiac surgery forum will be held in Abu Dhabi that will feature renowned specialists from leading international heart centres. Chaired by the president of the Emirates Cardiology Society, Dr. Wael Al Mahmeed, Head of Cardiology at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC), the Forum will bring together renowned local and international faculty in the fields of cardiology and cardiac surgery. Invited experts from world renowned cardiac centers include Papworth Hospital, Cambridge and the University of Oxford, UK as well as from leading centers in the Middle East.

The First Middle East Cardiology Forum 2008 will be held in Abu Dhabi on the 24 & 25 of October at the Hilton Hotel. The forum will provide an up-to-date review of common clinical problems that include coronary revascularization, arrhythmia therapy and heart failure. It provides the practicing physician with a unique opportunity to enhance their knowledge of latest research and updates and the use of medical devices and pharmaceuticals in the field of cardiology.

The two-day scientific program, supported by the Emirates Cardiology Society and organised by Synovetics, a leading provider of healthcare education, will deliver requisite Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit hours from local and international accrediting bodies for professional re-licensing requirements.

Apart from cardiologists and cardiovascular surgeons, the event is expected to be attended by internal medicine specialists, emergency medicine specialists, general physicians with interests in cardiovascular medicine and surgery, cardiovascular specialist nurses, intensivists involved in the care of cardiac patients, cardiac technicians and clinical pharmacists.
