He notes that he was inspired to become involved in his field while an undergraduate at Korea University. While there, he joined a club with an aim to assist students with visual impairments to study mathematics and English. He cites that specialized schools to assist such students were not available in Korea, so he made the bold decision to devote his career to these types of learners. These experiences helped him realize how powerful education could be and that the magic it creates could turn lives around. It prompted him to become involved in education. He now teaches children from various backgrounds based on Multiple Intelligences Theory.
An alumnus of Korea University, Kim Taeyang holds a bachelor's degree in biology. In order to remain current with industry trends, he affiliates himself with the Korean Farm School National Council, the Love-Law Juvenile Guidance Committee of the Ministry of Justice, and the development committee of the Gyeonggi Nambu Provincial Police Agency. Throughout his career, he has contributed his knowledge to a variety of published works, including a school play called "Spread Your Wings," which he wrote in 2015, and a school musical, titled "Enlightening People with Hangeul, the Great King Sejong Lights up the World," which he wrote in 2016. Over the years, Kim Taeyang has won a variety of awards for his professional accomplishments. In 2016, he won the Best Citizen Award from the chairman of the Yeoju City Council. Just this year, he earned the Best After School Award from Korea's Ministry of Education.
