"I am appreciative to them, especially because this club was the first organization in Birmingham to have me as a speaker, after relocating from Atlanta, Georgia. It is an honor to be asked to return once again during my Southeast Book Tour". Tahiera's book is entitled Annihilator of Innocence. The book chronicles her life as a survivor of domestic violence, during the two dangerous years where she was held hostage in Atlanta, Georgia. She nearly lost her life escaping from this situation. The title of her presentation for this meeting is Courage. She will also have a question and answer session, and really take the time to share helpful information. "As I travel around the nation, I will be speaking about the reality of my survival from tremendous abuse and victimization. While I would not recommend that anyone do what I did to escape my nightmare, I do recommend that anyone who is within the trap of abuse and victimiation realize that, with faith, hope, and trust in God, there is a way out".
The Harbert Center is located at 2019 4th Ave. North, #1, Birmingham, AL 35209.
