The enhanced charging capabilities are achieved by deploying Volubill's CHARGE-IT product and will allow TTSL to realize incremental revenue streams across multiple mobile browsing applications and service packages. CHARGE-IT's real-time network usage recording and charging functions increase the speed of all charging practices to enhance revenue assurance for mobile services.
As demand for bandwidth continues to grow at dramatic rates, the need for better segmentation and more adaptable charging models becomes essential. This, along with the deployment of policy control solutions, enables operators to reconnect the revenue model with the cost model for mobile data services, which is not necessarily the case today when you consider flat rate charging models combined with unbridled demand for bandwidth.
TTSL deployed Volubill's solution, in order to maximize charging abilities for the various types of Internet applications offered to its customers, including BREW, WAP and standard Internet protocols. The differentiated charging models and ability to monitor and charge for usage in real-time allow TTSL to reach new customers in smaller corners of the market. Further, increased profit margins for customized mobile internet services are realized, and revenue leakage caused by slow charging practices is eliminated.
A technology-independent platform, Volubill's CHARGE-IT provides support to increase flexibility and scalability for all types of communications service architectures. The software enables real-time management and analysis of subscriber usage for IP-based services. It provides capabilities for deep packet inspection (DPI), access management, service delivery, traffic shaping, and user experience management for both simple Internet access or premium value-added services.
