BACKGROUND: Co-founded in 2000 by Parkinson's sufferer John Ball under the guidance of The Parkinson Alliance, Ball leads fundraising efforts for the group. In March, he completed his 13th Los Angeles Marathon. The TP staff and volunteers work year round toward the goal of raising funds for research to find a cure for Parkinson's disease. 100% of all net proceeds go directly to research.

For people with Parkinson's disease, it is known that exercise is as important as medication for the management of the disease. Regular exercise and/or physical therapy are essential for maintaining and improving mobility, flexibility, balance and a range of motion, and for warding off many of the disease's secondary symptoms.
