First of all i would like to say that i am at a huge advantage. I can produce the software at a fraction of the cost of many large companies, many a time it only costs my time. This has allowed me to produce high quality software while not breaking the bank. Furthermore, I know that as more and more agents know of the software, they will learn about the other services i currently provide.
How fast is your user base growing?
Since I started http://www.gururealestatemarketing.com the community has been growing at around 1000 members per month.
Do you plan on charging a fee in the near future?
For the software, no.
I know your a strong advocate for real estate agents to market them selves over the web. Why?
Over 80% of home searches are started on line. Google, Yahoo and MSN provide only 10 results per page. 72% of people looking for homes via search engines do not go past the first page. This means only 10 websites/agents/businesses will get the traffic for a specific keyword/phrase. i.e. Boston Real Estate.
With the number of FSBO houses on the rise and the current credit crunch. The techy savvy real estate agents will persist and profit in "down times".
