HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL, June 22, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/
-- According to a recent article in The American Conservative, coffee drinking has become somewhat of a sport for many American citizens-in fact, a whole culture has sprung up around it. Where and when we drink our coffee, as well as what kind of coffee we drink, has become so intrinsically important in the average American life that even those who don't drink coffee are involved in the culture. To be a person who "doesn't like coffee" or "never touches the stuff" is somewhat of an anomaly or quirk in society today. Whether it's because they need the caffeine to keep up with the hustle and bustle of modern life or they simply enjoy the brewing process, Americans love their coffee. Their teeth, however, have a less symbiotic relationship with the substance.
Coffee is one of the main culprits of stained teeth. The drink is rich with chromogens, which promote stains in the enamel of teeth, but by far, it isn't the only thing keeping smiles from looking shiny and bright. Normal wear on teeth throughout a person's lifetime can significantly reduce the whiteness of people's smiles, and other things-like the contents of their diets-can also stain or discolor their teeth. However, there are options for Hoffman Estates residents who want to have a dazzling smile and still enjoy their morning cup of Joe.
Whitening procedures have become an increasingly popular among people who wish to restore a bright smile that has dulled with age or is covered in unsightly stains. Professional tooth whitening is safe and effective, lasting up to five years if done properly. These procedures are proven to reverse the effects of aging and discoloration from food and even tobacco stains. Caring Smiles Dental is now providing teeth whitening services to Hoffman Estates patients.
Several types of over-the-counter teeth whitening systems are available to consumers today, but these products are rarely effective on teeth that have yellowed or grayed from age, and over-the-counter systems cannot provide the long-lasting results that an in-office teeth whitening from a dental health professional can supply. The best whitening systems contain a buffer in the gel that protects the tooth enamel from damage while transforming overall tooth appearance within a few short hours, and they can be found at Caring Smiles Dental. In a single office visit, our dental staff can brighten a smile by up to ten shades, and with proper care, these results can last for years.
Coffee and teeth are about to become much better friends, and the staff at Caring Smiles Dental is helping facilitate that change. For more information about teeth whitening procedures in the Hoffman Estates, IL area, call (847) 776-4537.
