Today, Emperial Americas, Inc. announced that its premium brand, Tequila Distinguido would sponsor The Texas Social Club during the 2012 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Cookoff.
From barbecue to wild game or seafood, The Texas Social Club was started in 1984 by Bill J. Felder in Houston, Texas. The Texas Social Club has competed all over the United States and in Mexico, Jamaica, Africa and Europe while winning numerous World titles.
Also called the "World's Championship Bar-B-Que Contest," the Houston Rodeo Cookoff is a Texas sized Houston barbecue Cookoff held just before the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo in order to kick off Texas' largest rodeo. Featuring several hundred barbecue cooks, the event will convene from February 23rd through February 25th and will be full of cooking competitions, dancing and, of course, eating.
As the spirits sponsor, Tequila Distinguido will be integrated through extensive on-site signage, the unveiling of the Tequila Distinguido Indy Race Car, guests (legal drinking age and older) can enjoy contests, special promotions and sample delicious tequila cocktails.
