Teresa K. O'Dowd, DO Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who Executive, Professional and Entrepreneurial Registry

    PONTIAC, MI, October 30, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Teresa K. O'Dowd, Internist and Emergency Room Physician at POH Regional Medical Center, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of medicine.

Dr. O'Dowd has been in her current position at POH Regional Medical Center for two years, where she specializes in internal and emergency medicine. On a daily basis, she is responsible for overseeing the internal medical and resident clinics and treating patients. She also serves as the residency director and trains and supervises residents at the hospital. Dr. O'Dowd expressed an interest in medicine since childhood and attributes her success to her perseverance, caring nature and ability to establish good relationships.

An advanced cardiac life support instructor for the American Red Cross, Dr. O'Dowd received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in 2002 and completed a residency program in Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine at POH RMC, Pontiac, MI. She is a member of the Michigan Osteopathic Association, the American Medical Association, the American Osteopathic Association and the American College of Osteopathic Internists. She is also affiliated with the American College of Physicians, the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians and the American College of Emergency Physicians. In her spare time, she volunteers for the American Cancer Society and aspires to establish her own practice.
