TerraHawk, LLC Joins Border Security Technology Consortium

Manufacturer of the patented vehicle for deploying a mobile surveillance module joins other security industry companies to provide a solution for the on-going United States border security issues.

DALLAS, TX, September 09, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dallas-based TerraHawk, LLC has joined the newly-formed BSTC (Border Security Technology Consortium).

The mission of the BSTC is to execute R&D and prototyping/piloting initiatives using innovative contracting methodologies and enhance innovation and responsiveness in a dynamic border security environment.

According to the BSTC website (http://www.bstc.scra.org), the benefit of the newly-formed consortium to the United States Government is to offer greater technology and prototype acquisition speed that will hopefully get new technology to the Border more expediently and help the Government meet obligation/expenditure benchmarks.

Additionally, according the BSTC website, members will gain greater visibility into government needs and priorities; will be provided increased ability to leverage IR&D investments to meet those needs and will be given a channel for small companies and non-traditional suppliers to identify opportunities and establish customer relationships with governmental procurement agencies.

Founded in 2009, TerraHawk LLC was issued United States Patent #7,726,690 "Vehicle for Deploying a Mobile Surveillance Module" and has International Patents pending in ten other countries.

Developed for the needs of U.S. Homeland Security and domestic law enforcement, the patented TerraHawk Mobile Utility Surveillance Tower (M.U.S.T.) is a rapidly deployable and mobile manned platform that is agnostic to all manners of technology including camera, communication, radar and sensor technology and can be armored.

The TerraHawk M.U.S.T is a commercially available off-the-shelf mobile solution to increase situational awareness and surveillance operations during day, night and in all weather conditions, and over a variety of terrain.

The unique and "sole source" surveillance vehicles are already in service on the U.S. Border with units deployed in Webb, Zapata, Brewster, Jeff Davis and Val Verde County Sheriff's Departments and in major U. S. Police Departments including San Diego and Chicago.

Because of the versatility and ease of use for operators, the mobile tower technology has piqued the interest of purchasers of security technology in the casino and gaming industry, colleges and universities, large entertainment venues, hospital campuses, large private and commercial companies, rail station facilities and airports.

Company representatives recently attended the Border Security Technology Consortium Industry Day in Arlington, Virginia and because TerraHawk, LLC meets the requirement of "non-traditional" government contractors whose innovative border security technologies have not yet been captured by the Government, decided to join the Consortium as one avenue to match the diverse and rugged M.U.S.T. rapid response technology with federal procurement opportunities.

TerraHawk, LLC., is the manufacturer of Rapid Response Surveillance Vehicles. For further information, please contact a company representative at 214-366-2508 or visit the website at www.terrahawkllc.com.
