/24-7PressRelease/ -- The Texas Association of Health Underwriters (TAHU) recently installed its 2010-2011 Executive Board at its State Convention in Houston.
C. Louanne Trebing, RHU of Trebing Insurance Services in Garland, Texas was installed as president. Louanne is the owner of Trebing Insurance Services and specializes in small group and individual medical insurance, offering insurance products for clients' life, health & family.
The other newly installed executive members are:
• President Elect: Joanna Antongiovanni, San Antonio, Texas
• First Vice President: Misty Baker, Austin, Texas
• Second Vice President: Kelly Fristoe, LUTCF, Wichita Falls, Texas
• Treasurer: Travis Middleton, Houston, Texas
• Secretary: Mark Bellman, Austin, Texas
• Immediate Past President: Rusty Rice, San Antonio, Texas
"Now more than ever, our members are critical partners to employers and consumers," said Trebing. "The services that we provide simply cannot be done by a website, a distant bureaucrat or a government manual."
Immediate Past President, Rusty Rice said, "I am confident that our new leadership will continue the TAHU legacy of member education and strong consumer advocacy."
Over the next year, the focus of TAHU will be pushing for the passage of sensible healthcare reforms such as refundable tax credits, serving as advocates to spread the word on important coverage such as long-term care insurance, and fighting mandates and other burdensome legislation that make health insurance more expensive for everyone.
