"Hospice of Wake County is most grateful to the organizers of the Big Bad Ball," said Michael Blanchard of Hospice of Wake County (www.hospiceofwake.org). "Proceeds from the event help benefit our Indigent Patient Fund, which we use to cover the cost of extending hospice care to patients without the means to pay for services. That includes the cost of in-home visits by our clinical staff, assistance with the purchase of prescription medications, rental of medical equipment, and in some cases emergency assistance with things such as paying the rent or utility bill."

The black-tie event is scheduled for Saturday, October 3rd at 7:00pm at the Capital City Club in Raleigh. Hosted by the Young Executives Board of the Capital City Club, the event will include live music, a silent auction, door prizes, and a raffle to benefit Hospice of Wake County, a private nonprofit organization that provides compassionate end-of-life care and support for terminally ill patients and their families.
