Some go as far as to say that the ancients had knowledge of advanced, modern technologies such as the light bulb and battery.
This may sound incredible, but we should bare in mind that mankind has made incredible evolutionary leaps in the last century and a half.
It just so happens that the oldest advanced civilization to date was discovered about 130-150 years ago.
Is it then just coincidence that we happen to develop the industrial age of the late 19th and 20th century?
Since the discovery of these ancient writings of the Sumer in the mid east, man has developed advanced technological devices that are far ahead of the public sector.
We have developed some of the most intriguingly complex devices and systems of organization, research and business. We have gone to the moon according to history.
We have gone from huge computers that take up hundreds of square feet to tine hand held and laptop devices.
This does fit well with the theories behind such finds as the Antikythera mechanism which is said to have been built about 2000 years ago and may indeed hold information about many of the planets in our solar system.
The further speculation is that such ancient calculators were possibly based on even older technology, perhaps given to us by external source. Some might say aliens, some might say God. Perhaps man saw aliens as gods.
It is an interesting theory to consider when you look at the human genome which does contain a grouping of 223 unidentified genes. Genes which do not fit on the "evolutionary tree" of man.

Some of these human genes do not have similar functioning genes in other species.
In other words, these 223 genes are partly unique to man.
It appears to some researchers that some of these genes are the most critical to the psychiatric and physical functionality of man.
This may imply that man is what it is due to some or all of these "extra" genes.
The human genome consist of some 25,000-30,000 gene strands. Considering that a fruit fly is about 13,000 gene strands, we can reasonably assume that a small number of seemingly insignificant genes can actually have a big impact.
Perhaps this does a little to explain that missing link that evolutionists have been looking for.
