The Aura Group's existing MovieConnect platform allows film studios to deliver showtime and theater locations into any online ad unit, but David Bailey, The Aura Group's CEO, had broader ideas. "The whole point of advertising theatrical film releases is to get tickets sold and butts in seats. MovieConnect can monitor a film's Twitter account and, when a follower requests to know where the release is being shown locally, MovieConnect will automatically respond to that follower with a personalized response including theater information, show times and a link to a map. Bailey continued, "For many people, Twitter is their primary online social media connection; especially with brands. With Twitter, we can follow a film from development to display. Now, with MovieConnect, we complete that circle and direct the moviegoer where to view the film."
