/24-7PressRelease/ -- The government has recently endorsed the social security system for the employees of the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM), as well as the Municipality's employee regulatory statute.
Executive Director of GAM's Legal Affairs, Ahmad Tahboub said the cabinet's endorsement of the two systems will certainly ratify the continuity of the legislative authority for all of the Municipality's decisions and actions.
He maintained that the Municipality is working to enact and issue 14 systems as part of GAM's entire code of regulations and procedures that will align the concepts and modernize the enforced legislations.
Tahboub said that GAM's restructuring process is being conducted in phases which require the issuance of pertained systems for the employees during the transitional period, and ahead of emanating the final law system that involves concepts of the restructuring process and ways to steer the technical and administrative operations within the Municipality.
Tahboub indicated that a special committee was formed to study the mechanisms and procedures regarding the Municipality's draft law that is expected to ready for endorsement within the coming few months.
He revealed that a minor change was enacted on the social security system for GAM employees due to the restructuring process.
