is proud to announce the appointment of Mrs. Mariesa Grado as School Principal at its Union Campus.
Mariesa has been an integral part of the Deron School's administration for many years as Supervisor of Elementary and Secondary Education. Prior to this position, Mariesa was a member of the school faculty, serving as the Art Teacher for 7 years.
Mariesa brings with her a passion for students with disabilities and great business acumen, having previous experience as a small business owner.
Some of Mariesa's most recent notable achievements at The Deron School include the development and implementation of our Great Beginnings program for students ages 5 through 14. Great Beginnings utilizes the principles of Applied Behavioral Analysis to meet the unique and diverse needs of our multiply disabled students.
Mariesa also revamped sensory integration at Deron to maximize student achievement; leading a team of professionals to design a unique Sensory Room to address students' sensory processing needs. This multi-faceted initiative has been recognized as innovative and student-centered.
