Lionel Barber, Editor of the Financial Times, said: "The FT is delighted to be launching the Environmental Awards with Citi Private Bank. Climate change and carbon efficiency is an issue that all companies across the world need to deal with and adapt to. These awards will be the first to recognise which companies are managing their emissions to meet the environmental challenge and I look forward to seeing the results."

Marianne Hay, CEO of Citi Global Wealth Management for Europe, commented: "Embracing guiding principles that will protect the environment for ourselves and for generations to come is a focus for Citi and for many of our clients around the world. Honouring those who have successfully and meaningfully addressed the reality of climate change with concerted efforts, leadership and innovation, shines a deserved spotlight on their achievement and better informs the efforts of us all."
