The London Coffee Festival Returns as the Flagship Event for National Coffee Week

The capital celebrates its burgeoning coffee culture, reports LondonTown.com.

LONDON, ENGLAND, April 25, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- This week marks National Coffee Week and with that comes the return of the London Coffee Festival. With London fast becoming one of the world's leading cities for quality coffee, this four-day festival is a chance to showcase the best of what London's independent coffee scene has to offer. For visitors travelling from outside the capital, a wide selection of cheap London hotels can be booked through LondonTown.com.

Something a little bit sweeter can be found in east London this weekend with the Great Brixton Bake Off, a chance for the capital's budding bakers to showcase their talents and satisfy hungry visitors with their talents. Levis Roots, the celebrity chef who's known for his Brixton born Reggae Reggae sauce, is among the panel of industry experts who will judge the bakers across six categories: cakes, cupcakes, biscuits & bites, savouries, vegan and bread.

It's also a big week for films as London's spin off of America's indie film festival Sundance returns with plenty of screenings, live music performances and in-depth panel discussions. The most anticipated films on the line-up are Mud, starring Matthew McConaughay and The Look of Love, Steve Coogan plays Paul 'King of Soho' Raymond in this story of the controversial entrepreneur who became Britain's richest man. For a film festival of a smaller scale, Londoners can visit the King's Cross Filling Station where Everyman Cinemas are taking a 12-day pit-stop to screen some of the best road movies to ever grace the silver screen. With 25 films in total, the line-up includes Bonnie and Clyde, Natural Born Killers, Drive, and Thelma and Louise.

London's Southbank Centre gets a stylish makeover with the Vogue Festival 2013. Having launched in 2012, the festival once again invites a whole host of leading designers, photographers, celebrities, models and fashion editors to give audiences a rare insight into their lives working in the fashion industry. Among those holding panel discussions and talks are Victoria Beckham, Paul Smith, Cara Delevigne and Donatella Versace. The Royal Air Force Museum is given an injection of style in a different sense with the Bonhams Classic Car Auction, which sees a remarkable display of collector's motor cars and automobiles go on display before being put up for auction.

Providing the chance to snap up some original art from some of London's most promising emerging artists, The Other Art Fair is a great day out whether you're looking to buy or simply browse. Among the selection committee for spring 2013 are Turner Prize nominee Yinka Shonbare, art critic and prize-winning journalist Laura McLean-Ferris, and international curator and dealer Mila Askarova. The London Original Print Fair, another firm favourite on the city's art calendar, returns this week. The premier print fair offers the chance to see specialist dealers displaying their etchings, engravings, linocuts and lithographs in the grand setting of the Royal Academy of Arts.

Tate Modern launches Hyperlink on Friday, a brand new festival which sees a group of young creatives host three days of installations, performances and workshops by visual artists, designers, gastronomists and musicians. This will be the first of eight festivals that form Circuit, a brand new national youth network for visual artists. Celebrating an even younger generation, the V&A Museum of Childhood marks Mexico Children's Day with a whole weekend of Mexican themed arts and crafts, storytelling and face painting.
