Visit http://www.lupusliqueens.org and click on the Walk along logo. From there you can register for the walk online, and set up your own walk along webpage. Each walker and walk team can set up there own webpage, and send emails to friends, family, neighbors and co-workers asking them to donate to the walk. Upload your own pictures and design your page anyway you want. Once registered you can see what other walkers and teams are raising, and where you stand in the overall totals.
Remember, the top teams and individuals not only qualify for prizes but also get their name featured on the walk along website as well as the Lupus Alliance's end of the year Public Service Announcements. Start working on your bragging rights early and register today!
The walk will be held on October 16th, 2005 in Eisenhower Park, Parking Field #6 at 8:30 am the 12th Annual Walk Along for Lupus will take place. Magicians, lunch, music, face painting, the USA Skatesauras and of course Gregg T from Z-100 will all be part of the festivities. The original lupus walk on Long Island is also the most successful lupus walk in the country that not only supports lupus research but also the individual with lupus as well.
