WELLS, ME, December 10, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Maine Diner, a family-owned restaurant on Route 1 known for its hallmark hospitality, speedy service and hearty home-cooking, recently unveiled its new on-site online weather station to better inform its customers of current weather conditions on the seacoast.

The latest information on the weather in southern Maine is now available live from the Maine Diner's new on-site weather station located in their garden in Wells. The station is geared up to record all weather statistics on anything a visitor would like to know: temperature, humidity, rainfall, wind, historical weather patterns, facts and heat indexes, as well as the most up-to-date Accu-Weather forecast. In addition, customers can check out tide charts and the live webcam down at the beach.

"Over the years our customers from near and far have called in to ask what the weather is like here on Route 1 or at the beach, wondering whether the day or weekend is suitable for a daytrip or a weekend adventure. We are truly happy to be able to provide them with this convenience," Maine Diner Owner Myles Henry said. "In this economy we felt it was worth going the extra mile in customer service."

To check out the Maine Diner's latest technology people can visit http://www.mainediner.com. Just click on "weather" on the left hand side of the home page, or on "webcams" located on the upper left corner of the home page for a view of the beach, or a live shot within the diner.

"I encourage people to check out our website which also has a community calendar of local listings of things to do in the area. If they see something they want to do, all they have to do next is click on the weather to plan their trip. Rain or shine you can easily make a day of it here in southern Maine and know what you are in for! This is a fantastic tool," Henry said.
